The Original Redwood Forest Sails is only 5 minutes drive from Rotorua city centre and all the main hotels and motels. Catering for up to 250 seated guests and more for a standing function - all under cover, yet still in the open air and available day or night.

This is an ideal location for wedding ceremonies and receptions, conference or incentive dinners, corporate events, cocktail functions, or product launches. It can be transformed from the natural bush setting which is spectacular in its own right to a themed venue reminiscent of "Lord of the Rings" or "Robin Hood" to a sophisticated five course dinner setting – the design is limited only by your imagination.

During the day guests also have the opportunity to go for a short walk through the Redwood Memorial Grove.

Surrounded by magnificent towering Californian Redwoods this compact room opens out to a cobbled courtyard enclosed by native ferns and shrubs and adjoins the main Gift Shop & Visitor Centre.

This room will seat up to 50 people theatre style or 20 people comfortably in boardroom style. It is an attractive alternative to a conventional meeting room, being away from the noise and activities of the inner city.

A brief walk outside under the trees during a break re-invigorates the brain if the meeting or course work has been intense. It is also an ideal place for some fun teambuilding by combining outdoor activities such as orienteering or mountain biking.

Use of equipment is included in the hire charge and catering can be arranged for you at an extra fee.
