The Redwoods - Whakarewarewa Forest

The Redwoods, Whakarewarewa Forest is an unbeatable location at which to hold a variety of outdoor events. It is a prime location being only a short drive, walk or ride from the city centre and close to the main hotel/motel strip.

It has the added bonus of being adjacent to the popular Lake Tikitapu (Blue Lake) and the location of some of the best walking and mountain biking tracks in New Zealand.

It hosts events of all sizes from small school Cross Country runs and the annual Redwoods Family Fun Day to community fundraising events and large national multisport competitions.
